Arne Slot and Liverpool Football Club have made a transfer decision of midfielder Harvey Elliott following his recent brilliant displays on the pitch.
According to Sky Sports, Elliot’s limited playing time under Slot had caught the attention of a number of clubs from the Premier League and Bundesliga.
It was suggested that these clubs may test Liverpool’s resolve both this month and in the summer.
Premier League rivals, such as Brighton, were mentioned among the clubs keeping tabs on him, with Borussia Dortmund also reportedly interested in his signature.
The 21-year-old’s game time has been limited this season due to injury, with a broken foot picked up in September ruling the player out for the best part of three months.
Since returning from injury in December, Elliott has played 10 times for Liverpool but has started just twice in that period, with both starts coming in cup competition wins over Southampton [Carabao Cup] and Accrington Stanley [FA Cup].

Transfer decision made on Harvey Elliott
Liverpool have made it clear that they are not considering accepting an offer for midfielder Harvey Elliott in January or the summer window despite his lack of first-team action.
Following a brilliant run of matches, the FA Cup win against Accrington Stanley and substitute appearances against Brentford [Premier League] and Lille [Champions League], where he grabbed an assist and a goal respectively, the club and Slot have expressed their desire to keep the midfielder on Merseyside, as they see Elliott as a key part of the Liverpool team for years to come.
Arne Slot speaking in his press conference earlier today had this to say about the player:
“Just keep bringing in performances like he did and keep working as hard on the training ground as he’s doing as well. It’s not only about the players, it’s about the competition and he is in competition with 5 players and some youngsters as well. Wata, Ryan, Curtis, Macca and himself, the midfielders we have at the moment, so he has to bring up performances like he has and then his playing time will probably increase.”
The England Under-21 international is yet to start a Premier League game under Arne Slot despite making 27 starts across all competitions last season.
Liverpool signed Elliott from Fulham in 2019 and he has gone on to make 130 appearances for the club, bagging 12 goals and 15 assists.
Liverpool will not consider selling the midfielder amidst interest from other clubs and he is determined to prove his worth to Slot and his coaching team in a bid to secure more first-team action.
