Liverpool youngster Kaide Gordon joins Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota on the list of players out injured till 2023.

The Liverpool Echo reports that Kaide Gordon will no longer be available to the Reds until 2023. And Jürgen Klopp will also be without Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.

Those receiving care at the AXA Training Centre are undoubtedly working hard for their money this season.

Thiago, Ibrahima Konate, Naby Keita, and Trent Alexander-Arnold were all treated this season after knee injuries. But the Liverpool medical staff recently announced Diaz was out until 2023 due to an injury against Arsenal.

Jota then had a calf injury in the 1-0 victory over Manchester City. This has kept him from competing in the World Cup and appears likely to keep him out until 2023.

Gordan joins Diaz and Jota in the ‘out till 2023’ list

Gordon has now been lost by Liverpool till the new year.

The 18-year-old debuted for Liverpool last season with his first goal after moving for £1 million from Derby in 2021.

However, Gordon has yet to make a single game this season due to a pelvic ailment.

According to The Liverpool Echo, the Reds have given the teenager a specialized training regimen. And as Anfield officials are reluctant to rush the youngster, he will be out until 2023.

The Derby-born forward is obviously not as crucial to Klopp as Diaz and Jota. But the German manager still has no access to a good squad option.

Due to years of underinvestment from Fenway Sports Group (FSG), Liverpool has such a severe lack of depth that they could actually benefit from Gordon’s availability right now.

Last year, Liverpool’s No. 49 was given the go-ahead to start the essential second leg of their Carabao Cup semifinal match against Arsenal. And he was instrumental in the Reds’ 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium.

If Gordon can return to full fitness before Diaz and Jota, Klopp will have more opportunities to use him in the attack than he did against Nottingham Forest.
